4444

My blog had its 4444th visitor recently, yesterday, at 1:28pm. I don't know who it was, except that it's someone in Paris. This person visited my site from the domain wanadoo.fr (which is Orange). At first glance, you could be mistaken for thinking that I was my own 4444th visitor, but the person in question has French as their default language, and uses microsoft internet explorer, so it's definitely not me. It could be someone French.

It wasn't me.

Oh?
Are you sure?

The last time I wrote a post informing people of a milestone visitor was number 666. I was reminded of it because a recent random person read that post from a google search.

I think I was 666. I fitted the description, anyway. 4444 wasn't me. I don't know what I appear as on your site logs, but it should be France Telecom.

On my own site logs I'm sometimes in Paris and sometimes in a tiny village hundreds of miles from Le Mans called Gensac-la-Pallue. I have no idea why.

I think you were probably 666 too, but it's hard to tell with brisbane ip addresses, especially when many people use the same isp.

Usually you come up as Le Mans, Pays de la Loire on my site, often through a school (Lycee Gabriel Touchard).

Hmm. It seems that Sitemeter is much more accurate at knowing who I am than Google Analytics.
