I like this sentence: My tepels ontplof met vreugde.
It's amusing in English, but to me, it sounds funny in Afrikaans. "Ontplof" means "explode", which is the word I particularly like. ("Vreugde" means "delight" for those trying to guess the meaning of the sentence.)
