Cold Ash

Well, I've been at Downe House for two days now, and most of that time has been taken up with meetings regarding the format, timetable etc of the school. The students will start arriving at the weekend sometime. It seems like a nice place, but it's cold for summer, though it is an English summer, so not really summer in the real sense of the word.

Anyway, off to the pub now.

yay! good to hear u made it there ok and it's all going to plan! it's cold here too, however as it is actually supposed to be winter on this half of the globe i suppose it's allowable.

It's even colder over in Ireland - it was just 15C there last Tuesday! with Ireland's usual wind and drizzle. And there's me coming to Europe to escape Melbourne winter weather... but I'm optimistically hoping things will warm up in the second half of summer. All the best with the school, btw.

I was looking forward to escaping winter as well. Apparently it was quite warm, and occasionally hot this time last year.
