I went to Punjabi Palace last night for dinner with some people including Susan, Aggie and Simon. The food was great, as usual at this establishment. The butter chicken was particularly nice and I think it is fast becoming my favourite type of curry (a title previously held by something with a name that I have forgotten but which wasn't butter chicken).

Hi Sean,
First time commenter, long time reader. [It's Oddur, I can't remember the password for my login name Slartibarfast right now]. I'd like to know what you thought of the film Candy which you saw a couple of weeks ago. Also, if you follow up on Eurovision of the John Waters film tonight, what do you think of Lordi and dogsh*t? (not necessarily in that order!).
Thankfully Brisbane folk are a long way from being the Filthiest People Alive. I wouldn't mind seeing more tacky garden decorations on some front lawns here though. Maybe product placement on home improvement landscaping shows could lift the popularity of pink flamingos, plaster hens and gazing balls. Actually, gazing balls are hot again in home landscape design, aren't they? Thankyou Jamie Durie!
...I meant: ' Eurovision *OR* the John Waters film '!
I think Lordi from Finland were good, and different, but I still stand by my opinion that Dima Bilan (from Russia) was much better.
Candy was a good film, but I wasn't able to identify with any of the characters, so I felt a bit distanced from the storyline. I thought it was a well-made film, and definitely recommend watching it.
I don't know about pink flamingos as garden ornaments, but I have seen a lot of caravan parks were black swans made out of used car tyres seem to be the height of fashion.
